Arizona softball usually conducts their media availability on Wednesday but the schedule is out of whack this week as their opponent, Cal, recovers from COVID-19 issues.
Rather than playing four games from Friday to Saturday, the teams will play one game Saturday and one game Sunday.
It will be Cal’s first action since April 11. They arrive in Tucson with a 16-12 record, including a 3-6 mark in Pac-12. Arizona is 31-8 and 9-5, respectively.
UA head coach Mike Candrea, catcher Sharlize Palacios and first baseman Carlie Scupin, the Pac-12 Player of the Week, talked about that and more in their Thursday interviews.
You can watch them below.
