Arizona softball completed the four-game road sweep of Stanford on Saturday with a 2-0 win.

Alyssa Denham, who tossed a no-hitter Thursday, threw her second shutout of the weekend and Dejah Mulipola drove in the game-winning run with an RBI double in the fourth. UA tacked on an insurance run in the seventh when Jessie Harper scored on a fielding error by the shortstop.

Denham allowed four hits—all singles—and one walk while striking out three and inducing two double plays.

The Wildcats have now won eight in a row to improve 22-5 overall and 6-2 in the Pac-12. They also passed Stanford (22-8, 3-3) for the second-best ERA in the conference after allowing just four runs in four games against the Cardinal, who entered the series on a 10-game winning streak.

Knowing four-game series can take a toll on pitches, Mike Candrea used four different arms against Stanford, with all of them playing a key role. Devyn Netz got a save and Hanah Bowen allowed just one run in a complete-game effort on Friday.

It was a pretty good showing for Arizona’s offense too, which had struggled on the road but tallied 32 hits and 22 runs in this series, though it helped that Stanford committed six errors.

Redshirt freshman Janelle Meoño extended her hitting streak to 13 games. Malia Martinez and Dejah Mulipola both homered. Carlie Scupin had four hits—including a double and triple—after she had gone 2 for her last 20.

The Wildcats return home Friday when they begin the Bear Down Fiesta, where they will play New Mexico State (twice) and the Mexican National Team, which features former UA aces Taylor McQuillin and Danielle O’Toole.
